Lowe's Build and Grow Workshop

Dads,
Check out Lowe's Build and Grow at your local Lowe's. It's super fun, free, and totally manly (cue the Tim the Tool-man grunt).
About every other week @ 10am Saturday, they hold the clinics. You come in with your kid(s), they get a free carpenters apron and goggles, grab a hammer and whatever the wooden project is that day, and get to work. When the kids finish, they get to keep the project and they receive a patch to place on their carpenter's apron (similar to the Boy Scouts).
All ages are welcome and you don't necessarily have to sign up in advance, just show up and start building. It is great kid-father time.
To go to the link for the upcoming dates go to www.lowesbuildandgrow.com. The next dates are: 10/8 (Monster Machine); 10/22 (Halloween Monster Truck); 11/12 (Science Lab); 11/19; 12/3; 12/10; 12/17 (not for sure what the projects are these last days).

We've build all kinds of neat things in the past (see above picture - my kids, Olivia and Keegan, with some of their previous projects), from a kaleidoscope and mini basketball game to Mother's Day presents and a catapult. Being the nerdy family that we are, we are extra excited about the science lab :)

Hope you enjoy!
